Samples of my work:

This is a condo in Breckenridge, the fluorescent light in the kitchen was way too bright and ugly.

This is the before:

I pulled the light fixture to find a hole behind it:

I installed 2x4's for drywall support and a light fixture support:

Installed new drywall, mud and taped, sprayed texture to match the rough stuff:

Applied 2 coats of paint, installed a new brushed nickel curvy light fixture, so much better!

This condo in Breckenridge needed a closet remodel.  I yanked all the old shelving and

installed new carpet in the bottom.  This is the before:

I built 12" x 12" shelves in the middle for folded shirts, sweaters, etc.  I built hanging

rods on the right and more shelves on the left.

This is a condo in Breckenridge.  The gas fireplace had old brick in front and a

painted mantel:

I replaced the brick with slate, created a border out of oak, installed a new mantel

and supports out of rough cedar:

This home was for sale and many potential buyers complained about this half wall

in the master bathroom, no privacy.  So I built a doorway and closed it off.

Here is the before:

Built the 2x4 wall:

Installed drywall, mud and taped, sanded, prepped for texture and paint.

Textured, painted, installed new baseboard:

A good friend wanted an over the stove microwave installed.

I removed the old vent and wired up a new outlet for the microwave in the cabinets above.

Before:

After:

Condos in Breckenridge wanted to keep the bear out of the dumpster (scattered trash daily).

I built a door with spring hinges and secure latch.

Before:

After:

The bear has tried to claw and bite the door to get access, so far its holding up!

Customer's shower head was too low.  I moved the head up and out of the tile for a

more normal height.

Before:

In Progress:

Tiles removed.  I cut the copper pipe and extended it up, soldered the connections.

Installed drywall and prepped for tile.

Finished.  I used a similar colored grout and let it dry 24 hours before applying sealer.

Ready for taller people now.

Customer wanted handles added to all cabinets doors and drawers in the house, this is the bathroom.

Before:

After:

Fireplace siding was in bad shape.  I replaced the siding, caulked and painted.

Before:

After:

Cherry cabinets needed to be finished, I sanded, stained, and varnished.

Before:

I added a new decorative trim piece to the top.

After:

Elfa shelving installed, this is the location before:

I added a sliding drawer and shelves:

Drywall corner damage, repaired, sprayed matching texture, and painted:

Texture applied:

Painted:

Kitchen cabinets with simulated wood on the sides faded by sunshine.

I added real 1/4" oak plywood, stained and varnished.

Before:

After:

Basement window sill replaced, routed edges, stained and varnished to match.

Added a new window blind to a basement window:

Added shelf above washer and dryer:

Doggie door added into a back door:

Added a solar powered motion detector light:

Added a storm door with deadbolt.  The door has windows that open top or bottom, screen too.  Added new brass numbers:

Added new stainless steel kitchen sink and faucet with sprayer.

Replaced bathroom sink and added a single handle faucet.

Kitchen remodel, added a dishwasher, reconfigured cabinets, replaced countertops with tile.

Before:

After:

Built a new deck, removed window and added a door for access, this was a big project.

Showing my capabilities, I prefer not to build new decks, only repair existing ones.

Before:

Added a storm door to the new access door, painted to match building.

After:

The condo complex was remodeled in 2008, new siding, stain colors, lights, and metal roof:

Wine Cellar built under the stairs in a basement.

Before:

After:

Wine racks added:

**************************************************************************

Ok, this is not Handyman Todd type work but I wanted to post my '71 Camaro on this site.

I have owned this car for 18 years.  It was Placer Gold and very unattractive.  I turned it sideways

in my garage and disassembled it, replaced the rusty quarter panels, straightened all the dents,

replaced all the glass, changed the interior from brown to black.  It took me about 9 months,

evenings and weekends.  I painted the car in my garage, dangerous - don't try this at home

type stuff.  I learned how to work on cars during High School Votech auto-body repair classes.

Here is the before:

I took off the vinyl top, removed all the glass and lights.  This is the start of the project.

This is after the major work is done, the gray is primer.  I painted behind all the doors and jams,

reassembled it, wet sanded the primer, ready for paint.

I built a big plastic paint booth with filters to capture all the mess, this is right after it was painted.

How it looks now.  I wet sanded the paint after it dried a week or so, buffed it to a shine,

reassembled all the interior, glass, painted the wheels and grill black.  I keep it under a car

cover in my garage and only drive it when the sun is out...
